PERTH NORTHERN SUBURB OF
WOODVALE
The Perth suburb of Woodvale is one of my favourite suburbs. Of course I am a little biased as I live here. Its well established with everything you need close by including the beach, freeway, train and good public schools.
LOCATION
Situated approx 20Km North of Perth and about 7Km West of the Ocean. Woodvale can be found between Whitfords Avenue (to the South), Ocean Reef Road (to the North), Wannaroo Road (to the East) and the Mitchell Freeeway (to the West).
The suburb is well located for access to Perth CBD. Whitfords train station is only a short distance where a train into Perth takes around 20 minutes. Or you can take a train to Joondalup where the station is next door to the Lakeside Shopping Centre which has a huge number of shops.
Hillarys Boat Harbour is a 10 minute drive and the international airport about 40 mins.
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
A majority of the building started in the suburb in the late 1980’s. The suburb is well established and generally consists of 3/1, 4/1 & 4/2, duplexes and villas Average block sizes 650 -950sqm.
Residential accommodation for the over 55’s available at Timberside Villas.
The more prestigious homes in the suburb can be found in Woodvale Waters.
Views from some of the homes in Woodvale Waters can be enjoyed over Yellagonga Regional Park and the Lake Joondalup Nature Reserve.
AMENITIES
Woodvale has a couple of shopping centres one situated on the junction of Trappers Drive and Whitfords Ave. You can find everything here from a supermarket, fast food, Doctors, Banks, Papershop, Chemist, Coffee Shop, Gift shops,Bottle Shop, BP Station etc… there are over TBA shops in the complex.
Half way down Trappers Drive you find a smaller shopping centre which has an IGA (open until 8pm each evening and Sundays), Post Office and Paper Shop, Chemist, Bakery, Hair Dressers etc… and also the Moon & Sixpence. The Moon and Sixpence often has live entertainment and also a restaurant.
Woodvale also has a lot of open spaces which is great if you have a dog
