Spider at Carterton College UK

by Michael Staniland
(Abingdon Uk)

When I returned to the UK after some years teaching in Aus. I brought back many artifacts thinking to use them as aids. Among them was a didgeridoo. It had been in house for some time. Before arriving back in UK, even then it just stood in corner of the lounge. About eight years later a colleague asked to use it, We were amazed when out popped a red back, it was identified by London Zoo, although I knew what it was, I wanted confirmation. It had survived on catching insects etc.,Fortunately, no
-one was bitten. My colleague is still at Carterton College. although I have now retired and the didgeridoo is here.
