THE HISTORY
The Perth suburb Ellenbrook is a town in the Swan Valley and is named after Ellen Brook, a Swan River tributary along its eastern boundary. The Brook was named after Ellen Stirling, the wife of WA’s first Govenor James Stirling.
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
Ellenbrook is a rapidly developing Suburb with its first village developed back in 1994. Ellenbrookhas been designed using visionary town planning concepts considered among the best in the world.
The Ellenbrook philosophy is to integrate the community with its natural environmentand in many ways is a reworking of the historic European village, its focuss on people rather than regimented housing or land profiteering aiming to eventually have about 30,000residents living in 10,000 homes.
All homesites are fully deep sewered and boast state-of-the-art fibre optics, including a unique community intranet. Private security is permanently on patrol.
Currently Ellenbrook has six different villages with a seventh planned.Together, the villages circle a town centre which provides the cultural, commercial and recreational hub for the town.At the start of 2003, the population of Ellenbrook was 7,000 people, and it is now over 14000. The suburb is expected to grow to over 20,000.By the year 2012, all seven villages will support a thriving community of some 30,000 people.
