The Perth suburb of Edgewater derived its name from its location on the western shores of lake Joondalup.


Edgewater is a Northern Perth Suburb in the Lakeside Ward of the City of Joondalup, it is situatied 23km North of Perth between Ocean Reef Road (to the South), Lakeside Drive (to the North), Yellagonga Regional Park and Lake Joondalup (to the East) and the Mitchell Freeeway (to the West).

Residential Development

Edgewater has a population of approx 5,000. Property is traditional three and four bed-roomed homes with a few strata complexes offering unit accommodation and two over 55 facilities.

Edgewater is a lovely suburb popular for its closeness to the City of Joondalup, the beaches, the freeway and rail links with Perth.


Significant Landmarks

Lake Joondalup and Yellagonga Regional Park to the West. If you buy your property in the right place there are some excellent views over Lake Joondalup.


There are two schools in Edgewater
Edgewater Primary School which is a state school for boys and girls and;
Master Dei Catholic College which is a Catholic school for years 8-12.
